Junior Ashley Thayer is the Bears’ co-female performer of the week. Thayer earned two wins on the mound with seven strikeouts in seven innings and only allowed five hits. The junior shutdown Lyndon State in the first contest 9-0 and then came in to relieve Sarat to secure the 6-3 victory in the second game. In the batters box, the Winthrop native went two for five with three RBIs.
