Perno was crucial in the Bears’ SUNYAC sweep over the weekend, making 58 saves and allowing only two goals in two games. He earned a .967 save percentage, a 1.00 goals-against-average, and his first shutout of the season. In a come-from-behind 4-2 win over Buffalo State on Friday, the goaltender stopped 26 shots. He recorded another 32 saves against Fredonia, leading the Bears to a 1-0 shutout victory, the fourth of his career.
