Coombs led Potsdam with two first place finishes in two freestyle events. She touched the wall first in the 50 yard with a time of 25.73 and in the 100 yard at 55.28. Coombs also teamed up with sophomore Iris Curtis (Lewiston, N.Y./Niagara Wheatfield), sophomore Allison Medley (Watertown, N.Y./Watertown), senior Emily Gulitti (Kingston, N.Y./Kingston) to compete in the 200 Medley Relay and finished in fifth-place with a time of 1:58.14. For her efforts, Samantha Coombs is this week's Female Athlete of the Week.
