Sophomore pitcher Ashley Thayer is the Bears Female Performer of the Week. She went 3-1 on the mound in the Bears 10-game trip to Ft. Myers, Fla. and threw her second career no-hitter. Against Mount St. Mary’s she struck out six batters and threw 76 of 113 pitches for strikes as she kept the opponents hitless for eight innings. She followed that with a one-hitter against St. Joseph’s (Brooklyn).
