Senior Samantha Coombs (Jamesville, N.Y./Jamesville-DeWitt) – Swimming and Diving
Coombs was the brightest light for the Bears during the championships. On the second day of the SUNYAC Championships, Coombs shaved nearly a third of a second off her own Potsdam record in the 50 Freestyle. Coombs swam to a sixth-place finish in the 50 Free preliminaries with a time of 25.33. In the A finals, she was fifth with a time of 24.37, .32 seconds faster than her own 2019 record. She missed a spot on the all-conference team, by just .30 seconds. The women's 200 Freestyle Relay team containing Coombs finished eighth with a time of 1:43.93, just shy of the program's 2018 school record.

On day three of the SUNYAC Championships, Coombs earned third-team All-SUNYAC honors. Coombs finished third in the A Finals of the 200 Freestyle, topping her own Potsdam record with a time of 1:56.05. The women's 200 Medley Relay Team containing Coombs finished seventh in 1:54.03, just .18 seconds shy of the 2013 school mark.

On the final day of the SUNYAC Championships, Coombs once again earned third team All-SUNYAC honors. Coombs finished eighth in the 100 Freestyle preliminaries with a time of 54.80 to advance into the A Finals. There she shaved 1.1 seconds off her time to finish third and claim all-conference status. Her time of 53.40 was just .18 seconds short of her Potsdam record.
