Box Score BROCKPORT, N.Y.—The SUNY Potsdam men's soccer team (7-7-2, 4-3-1 SUNYAC) gave the College at Brockport (10-3-1, 7-1) all it could handle, but a double-overtime goal allowed the Golden Eagle to escape with a 3-2 win. Freshman defender Conor Engle and junior defender Victor Colasacco  each scored for the Bears.

The Golden Eagles gained the edge in play in the first half, but the Bears defense and junior goalkeeper Joseph Glackin  and bought the offense time to get going. Brockport finally broke through in the 34th minute as Kevin Dorn played the ball off a defender and fired it into the far corner. The Eagles carried the 1-0 lead into the break.

Brockport opened the second half with more pressure, but a yellow card and a series of fouls slowed their momentum. At the 64:49 mark, Potsdam's Engle buried a rebound to tie the score with his first collegiate goal. Just over 10 minutes later, the Golden Eagles were awarded a penalty kick and made the most of it. Brian Duffy converted on the kick to give Brockport a 2-1 lead. The Bears answered again at 80:55 when Colasacco scored on a free kick from 30 yards out. With the score tied at two, the defenses tightened up and didn't allow a shot for the remainder of regulation.

The Golden Eagles outshot Potsdam 5-2 in the first 10-minute overtime period, but couldn't solve Glackin who made two more saves. The Bears got two quick shots to start the second overtime, but it was Brockport who came away with the victory. Golden Eagle Paul Altobelli headed in a cross from Aubrey Brown with just 25 seconds remaining in the period. Glackin finished with 11 saves and Brockport goalie Kyle Sauln made one stop.  The Golden Eagles finished with a 30-12 advantage in shots.
 
 Potsdam closes out regular season conference play with a 1 p.m. contest at SUNY Geneseo.
