RYE, N.Y.—Manhattanville College (7-4-3) handed the SUNY Potsdam men's hockey team (6-8-2) its third straight defeat with an 8-0 victory over the Bears Saturday afternoon. Eight different Valiants did the damage for Manhattanville.

The Valiants struck for three goals in the first nine minutes of the contest. They opened the second period with a power-play tally and then tacked on three more in the middle stanza. Manhattanville added a final power-play goal in the third period to close the scoring.

Freshman goalie Dylan Ellis allowed seven goals and made 22 saves in the first 40 minutes for Potsdam. He was relieved by senior Kevin McFarland who allowed a goal on 15 shots in the third period. Manhattanville's Pierre-Olivier Lemieux stopped all 26 shots he faced to earn the win.

The Valiants outshot the Bears 44-26 and were 2-5 on the power play. Potsdam was 0-4 on the man advantage.

The Bears return home to face SUNYAC foe Morrisville at 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 20.
