Chelsea Sunday (Akwesasne, N.Y./Salmon River) matched each other with a game-high 16 kills each.
The Bears edged St. Lawrence in the first set 25-23 and pulled away from SLU in the second 25-15. Set three was tied 25-25 before the Saints scored the final two points to win set three 27-25. After a slow start in set four, Potsdam rallied to take a 19-18 lead, but SLU recovered for a 25-20 victory. In set five the Saints led by as many as four, but found themselves tied with their opponents at 13 with the match on the line. SLU rallied again to score the final two points and take the set 15-13 and the match 3-2.

Annie Smith (Chateauguay, N.Y./Chateauguay) had 12 kills for the Bears and freshman outside hitter
Kelsey Tompkins (Vestal, N.Y./Vestal) totaled nine kills and two blocks. Freshman setters

Kelsea Healis (San Diego, Calif./Rancho Cotate) finished with 22 and 16 assists, respectively. Senior libero

Junior outside hitter Lexi Brown (Sayville, N.Y./Sayville) had 12 kills and 10 digs for the Saints. Junior middle hitter Cristina Deschaine (Millbrook, N.Y./Millbrook) contributed 11 kills and sophomore outside hitter Amanda Brooks (Westford, Mass./Westford Academy) added nine more. Sophomore right side Katarina Marczeski (Santa Ana, Calif.) had 32 assists and freshman Katie Kull (Victor, N.Y./Victor) closed the night with 22. Junior defensive specialist Mariah Dignan (Ronkonkoma, N.Y./Connequot) matched Potsdam's Arana with 26 digs.
The Bears resume SUNYAC play on Friday afternoon when they take on Oswego State at 7 p.m. at SUNY Cortland.
