PLATTSBURGH, N.Y.—The top-ranked SUNY Plattsburgh Cardinals (7-0-1, 5-0 ECAC West) remained undefeated with a 6-0 victory over the SUNY Potsdam women's hockey team (2-4-1, 2-4-1) on Tuesday evening. Six different Cardinals scored in the game.
Melissa Sheeran gave Plattsburgh the lead for good just 1:03 into the contest. Shannon Stewart doubled the advantage five minutes later. The Cardinals controlled the play for the rest of the period, but couldn't add to the lead in the opening 20 minutes.
Plattsburgh resumed its momentum at the 5:38 mark of the middle stanza as Kayla Meneghin made it 3-0. The Bears continued to struggle offensively against the defending national champions as the period ticked away. At 17:16, Brett Campbell gave the Cardinals a four-goal advantage.
Melissa Ames made it 5-0 with a power-play marker 1:15 into the third period. Ten minutes later, Olivia Fox closed the scoring with an even-strength tally.

Abby Tardelli (Potsdam, N.Y./Potsdam Ice Storm) finished with a career-high 52 saves, while Camille Leonard made 13 to earn the shutout.
Plattsburgh was 1-for-2 on the power play and Potsdam finished 0-for-3.
The Bears are now off until Dec. 6, when they travel to No. 2 Elmira to face the Soaring Eagles at 3 p.m.
