Box Score POTSDAM, N.Y.—Clarkson University (2-2-0) got two goals from Ashley DeHond to top the SUNY Potsdam women's soccer team (2-1-1) 2-0 on Saturday afternoon at Hantz Field.
DeHond put the Golden Knights up for good just 2:08 into the contest, finishing a cross from Madison Kather. The Bears struggled to crack the Clarkson defense in the first half, managing just three shots. The Golden Knights took the one-goal advantage into the break.
The momentum reversed in the second half, as the Bears outshot Clarkson 7-4. However, DeHond added an insurance marker in the 67th minute on cross from Megan Strijek and Potsdam was unable to close the gap.

Bri Thibeau (Salem, N.Y./Salem) made five saves against her old team, while Kim Kenline stopped two shots to earn the shutout.
Clarkson edged the Bears 13-10 in shots and finished with a 7-1 advantage in corner kicks.
Potsdam is back in action on Wednesday when the Bears host Elmira at 7 p.m.
