BROCKPORT, N.Y.—The College at Brockport (7-8, 4-4 SUNYAC) pulled away from the SUNY Potsdam men's basketball team (2-12, 1-7) for an 81-66 win on Friday night. Senior guard
Rishawd Hendricks (Brooklyn, N.Y./Mount Zion Christian Academy) led the Bears with 14 points, while Patrick Modelewski had a game-high 17 for the Golden Eagles.
After trading baskets over the opening nine-and-a-half minutes, a Levi Pace layup gave Brockport a 20-13 lead at the 10:07 mark. Potsdam senior forward

Tom Graf (Elbridge, N.Y./Jordan Elbridge) answered with consecutive buckets to close the gap to one. The game stayed within four points until Modelewski went on a personal 6-0 run to put the Golden Eagles up 32-22 with 4:38 to play in the half. Freshman guards
Kyle Santoro (Poughkeepsie, N.Y./Our Lady of Lourdes) and
Tishsean Emmanuel (Brooklyn, N.Y./Nazareth) whittled Brockport's advantage back to 32-28 with six points two minutes later, but the Golden Eagles took a 39-30 lead into the locker room.
Pace and Aaron White each hit field goals to make it 43-30 to start the second half, but Potsdam countered. Junior guard
Joe Estramonte (Greenwich, N.Y./Greenwich) started a 14-6 Bears run with a jumper at 15:53. Junior forward
Tariq McIntyre (Brooklyn, N.Y./Thomas Jefferson) capped the stretch with another jumper and Potsdam trailed just 49-44 with 11:44 to play. Brockport kicked its offense into gear after the basket and took control with a 12-2 run make it 61-46. The Bears chipped the lead down to 10 twice before falling by 15.
Adams finished with his first career double-double with 13 points and 16 rebounds. Senior captain Gred Torchon (Spring Valley, N.Y./St. Joseph Regional) scored 11 points and Engle had six points and 10 boards.
Pace contributed 14 points for the Golden Eagles, while Daniel Aiello and White added 13 and 10, respectively.
Brockport shot nearly 50-percent from the floor to Potsdam's 44, but the Bears held the advantage on the glass, 41-35.
Potsdam heads to SUNY Geneseo tomorrow afternoon for a 2 p.m. tipoff.
