POTSDAM, N.Y.- Buffalo State's (10-9, 7-5 SUNYAC) second half offensive eruption lifted the Bengals to a 92-61 win over the SUNY Potsdam women's basketball team (1-17, 0-11 SUNYAC) on Saturday afternoon. Senior guard
Carli Reynolds (Indian Lake, N.Y./Indian Lake) recorded first career double-double with 19 points and 11 boards to lead the Bears. Senior guard Olivia Luciani (Syracuse, N.Y./East Syracuse Minoa) finished with 21 points and five rebounds for Buffalo State.

The Bengals and Bears traded baskets in the opening three minutes of the contest. A layup by junior forward
Katie LaVoie (Malone, N.Y./Franklin Academy) tied the game at six apiece before Buffalo State exploded with a 16-6 run capped by a jumper from freshman guard Caleh McLean (New Rochelle, N.Y./New Rochelle) at 13:28. Sophomore
Meghan Driscoll (Troy, N.Y./Troy) and LaVoie laid in two layups to cut the Bengal's lead to six. However, Buffalo State answered with another 15-2 run that covered a six-minute span with Luciani ending it with a three.

Potsdam rallied the troops and the Bears found the offensive push they needed to get back into the game. A 19-7 run, cut the Bengals' lead to seven with Reynolds hitting from behind the arch to close the first half.

The Bengals went on a tear scoring 31 points to the Bears' 11 over the first 12 minutes of the half. Potsdam and Buffalo State went basket-for-basket in the remaining minutes, but the Bears couldn't close the gap. The Bengals took the 92-61 victory.

Patti Dorgler (Floral Park, N.Y./Archbishop Malloy) finished with 13 points and senior forward
Veronica Sapp (Potsdam, N.Y./Potsdam) tacked on 10 points and five rebounds. Junior guard Brittnee Perry (Buffalo, N.Y./Hutch Tech) added 12 points and nine boards for the Bengals with freshman guard Keyonte Edwards (Buffalo, N.Y./O'Hara) tallied 10 points and eight rebounds.

The Bears are back in action next weekend when Potsdam heads to SUNY New Paltz Friday night to hit the hardwood with the Hawks at 7:30 p.m. and SUNY Oneonta Saturday at 4 p.m.
