POTSDAM, N.Y.--The SUNY Potsdam volleyball team (4-16, 0-6 SUNYAC) fell to the College at Brockport (20-1, 6-0) 3-0 and SUNY Cortland (11-13, 3-3) 3-1 on the final day of SUNYAC Pool Play at Maxcy Hall Field House.

Maddie Paquin (Queensbury, N.Y./Queensbury) chipped in 16 digs. Senior outside hitter Kayla Barber (South Glens Falls, N.Y./South Glens Falls) paced Brockport with eight kills. Sophomore setter Noelle Poloncarz (Orchard Park, N.Y./Orchard Park.) had a game-high 17 assists and sophomore libero Kathleen Irwin (Webster, N.Y./Webster Schroeder) added 17 digs.

The Bears hammered the Red Dragons 25-15 in set one of the finale, but Cortland answered with 25-19, 25-22 and 25-12 victories. Sophomore utility player
Rachel Topf (Eagle River, Alaska/Chugiak) and Maddox each totaled eight kills. Topf also had three aces and two blocks. Rodda posted another 30 assists and 16 digs. Paquin wrapped up a strong day with 23 more digs. Sophomore middle hitter Courtney Silberer (Centereach, N.Y./Centereach) had 11 kills and four blocks for the Red Dragons. Sophomore middle hitter Amanda May (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker) had four aces. Junior defensive specialist Melanie McGuirk (Lido Beach, N.Y./Kellenberg) totaled 15 digs and junior setter Liz Roberts (Island Park, N.Y./West Hempstead) finished with a game-high 36 assists.
