Joe Estramonte (Greenwich, N.Y./Greenwich) led the Bears with 14 points and five steals, while junior forward Derek Hart (Poughkeepsie, N.Y./FDR) recorded a double-double with 19 points and 11 boards including four takeaways.

Golden Knights opened with a 19-0 run before freshman guard Nose Onabor (Brooklyn, N.Y./Bishop Ford) got Potsdam on the board with a made free throw at the 11:00 mark. The teams battled back-and-forth through the remaining minutes of the half. Freshman
Nate Wyatte (Brooklyn, N.Y./Grand Street Campus) knocked down a three with nine seconds to go to cut Clarkson's lead to 24 at the half. Â

Potsdam jumped on the Golden Knights early in the first four minutes of the second period. Freshman forward
Tyrone Adeyeye (Brooklyn, N.Y./Benjamin Banneker) started the 14-4 run with a made layup at 19:08. The run cut Clarkson's lead to 14. Hart hit a layup in the paint to ignite the Golden Knights' 10-3 that was capped with a 3-pointer from senior guard Felix Abongo (Beacon, N.Y./Iona Prep). Potsdam continued to battle, but the Golden Knights held their lead and took the 79-58 victory.

Freshman guard
Dante Langley (Schuylerville, N.Y./Schuylerville) finished with 12 points and seven rebounds, while Onabor added 11 points. Junior guard Conrad Zampier (East Greenbush, N.Y./Columbia) topped the scoring with 21 points and added five boards and Abongo finished with 17 points and seven rebounds for Clarkson.

The Bears will travel to SUNY Oneonta to hit the hardwood with the Red Dragons Friday at 7:30 p.m. Potsdam will turn around Saturday to compete with SUNY New Paltz at 4 p.m. Saturday.
