Carli Reynolds (Indian Lake, N.Y./Indian Lake) matched a career high by scoring 24 points for the Bears and senior guard
Bailey Weigel (East Amherst, N.Y./Williamsville East) finished with a double-double, 17 points and 13 rebounds. Brittany Rando led the Red Dragons with 21 points in the victory.

Cortland opened the half with a 9-0 run before Reynolds hit from behind the arch to get the Bears on the board. The Red Dragons answered with another 22-8 run to get their lead out to 20 with 5:58 to go. At 4:17, Reynolds knocked down another three, followed by a layup and a free throw to bring the score to 35-20. Senior guard
Colleen McNamara (Guelph, Ontario/Our Lady of Lourdes) drained a 3-pointer to end the first half with the Red Dragons leading by 20. Cortland ended the half shooting 58-percent from the field, while Potsdam shot 33-percent.

The Red Dragons hit the hardwood with an 11-0 run that lasted over the first five minutes of the final half. A layup by Weigel ended the drought and started a Bear run. Reynolds, McNamara and Weigel combined for all 19 points during Potsdam's run to bring the score to 68-42. Cortland answered with a 20-11 run to close out the contest and take the 88-53 win.

McNamara finished with six points and five boards, while Weigel's 17 point performance moves her past Katy Briedis '13 for the 10
th place spot on the all-time scoring list and a total of 790 career points. Rae Frasier and Erin Wolstenholme each tacked on 14 points for the Red Dragons and Brittany Dumas added 11 points and five rebounds.

Potsdam will have a short turnaround as the Bears host SUNY Plattsburgh and have the Play 4Kay benefit Tuesday, Feb. 17 at 7:30 p.m. at Jerry Welsh Gymnasium.
