Cayla O'Connor (Dexter, N.Y./General Brown) scored for the Bears and they trailed 9-4 with 10:14 left in the half. Potsdam closed to within 10-8 by the break thanks to goals from O'Connor, junior attack

The Bears momentum carried into the final period as they opened with a 4-1 run to grab their first lead of the game at 13-12 with 20 minutes to play. Newman, junior midfielder
Michaela Cole (Parishville, N.Y./Parishville-Hopkinton) and Ferenczy opened the second half with three straight goals and Newman connected with a Lapinski pass for the go ahead goal. The spurt woke up the Yellow Jackets and they closed the contest with a 6-1 run of their own. Newman notched the final Potsdam tally at 8:28 before Baldwin Wallace added one more for the 18-14 final.

Devan Olschewske (Canandaigua, N.Y./Canandaigua) made five saves for the Bears and Taylor Giordanengo made nine for the Yellow Jackets.
The Bears dominated on draw controls, recording a 21-13 advantage. Senior defender
Lizzie Marchbanks (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) hauled in eight draw controls, while McCabe and O'Connor had 5 and 4, respectively.
Potsdam wraps up its Florida trip tomorrow morning with a 10 a.m. contest against Wheelock College.
