BROCKPORT, N.Y.—The College of Brockport (6-2, 3-1 SUNYAC) went 31-for-39 from the charity stripe, including 18-for-18 in the second half, and defeated the SUNY Potsdam men's basketball team (4-5, 1-3 SUNYAC) 99-77 Saturday afternoon. Sophomore guard Danny Delsol-Lowry (Queens, N.Y./Queens High School of Teaching) led the Bears with 18 points and three assists.
 
A layup from sophomore center Kristoff Saunders (Queens, N.Y./Queens High School of Teaching) put Potsdam in front early, but the Golden Eagles pulled away with an 18-7 run through the following five minutes, including eight points from sophomore forward Justin Summers. It took a while for Bears to close the margin. After freshman forward Dante Viskovich (Massena, N.Y./Massena) nailed a 3-pointer to make it a 33-25 contest, Brockport put together a 13-5 stretch with 1:03 left. Potsdam trailed 48-36 at the break after a pair of 3-pointers from junior guard Nosa Onabor (Brooklyn, N.Y./Northside Charter).
  
The Bears came out of the gate hot to start the second half with a 14-4 run, reducing the deficit to two. Delsol-Lowry and junior guard Dante Langley (Schuylerville, N,Y./Schuylerville) both scored five, including a shot from beyond the arc during the stretch. The Golden Eagles answered again with a 10-2 run. With 9:11 left, Delsol-Lowry made a layup to get the Bears within 68-62. However, Brockport took charge for the next five minutes outscoring Potsdam 24-7, while shooting 12-for-12 from the free throw line. For the final 2:12 the Bears edged out the Golden Eagles 8-7, but ran out of time as Brockport won 99-77. Freshman guard Nana Annorh (LeFrak City, N.Y./Newtown) recorded his first collegiate points, hitting two 3-pointers during today's contest.

Onabor finished the day with 15 points and three rebounds, while Langley added 14 points and three assists.

Golden Eagles senior guard Hamed Shamseldin scored 29 and went 12-for-15 from the free-throw line. Senior forward David Clark and junior guard Tyler Collins both contributed 18 points and combined for 12 rebounds.

The Bears are back in action on December 28, at 6 p.m. when they travel to Danbury, Conn. to face Western Connecticut State.
