Nick Orsini (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport) scored a career-high five goals to lead the SUNY Potsdam men's lacrosse team (1-2) to an 11-8 victory over Morrisville State (1-4) on Saturday afternoon. The victory was the 150th in the career of Bears 23rd year Head Coach

Jack Bezek (Webster, N.Y./Webster Thomas) made 12 saves for his second career win.
Mustangs sophomore attackman Nick Geswaldo (Lafayette, N.Y./Lafayette) opened the scoring 2:35 into the contest, but the Bears answered with three in a row. Orsini buried his first at the 9:59, followed by a Soderquist strike at 7:44. Senior attackman
Berkley Stone (Madison, Conn./Daniel Hand) made it 3-1 Potsdam at 6:34. An acrobatic goal from Morrisville freshman attackman Chris Dovi (Cortland, N.Y./Cortland) closed the gap to one just before the end of the first 15 minutes.
Potsdam rattled off the first three goals of the second quarter to build a 6-2 advantage at 8:11. Soderquist, freshman midfielder
Josh Huiatt (Lisbon, N.Y./Hugh C. Williams) and Orsini scored in succession with freshman midfielder
Spencer McNamara (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) assisting on Orsini's second marker. Dovi and Geswaldo bookended Orsini's third goal to forge a 7-4 contest at the half. Soderquist assisted on Orsini's goal.

Casey Boulio (Carthage, N.Y./Carthage) scored the only goals of the third quarter and Potsdam led 9-4 after 45 minutes.
Orsini scored his fifth and final of the day at 12:40 of the fourth quarter to give Potsdam its biggest lead at 10-4. The Mustangs put together a 4-1 run before time ran out. Dovi completed his hat trick at 11:14 and senior attackman Corey Grace (Penn Yan, N.Y./Penn Yan) made it 10-6 with a man-up goal at 8:25. Freshman attackman
Nick Henrie (Massena, N.Y./Massena) got one more for Potsdam at 4:02 before sophomore attackman Logan Peters (Yorktown Heights, N.Y./Yorktown) and Geswaldo netted the last two goals for the 11-8 final.
Mustangs senior goalie Tyler Catalfano (Rochester, N.Y./Greece Arcadia) finished with 11 saves in 55:58 and junior Paul Gates (West Winfield, N.Y./Mt. Markham) didn't face a shot on goal in the last 4:02.
Berkman's first victory came on March 24, 1995 as the Bears defeated Keuka College 10-5 in Syracuse.
Next, Potsdam heads to Scranton on Tuesday for a 4 p.m. battle with the Royals.
