OSWEGO, N.Y.—Oswego State (11-12-2, 7-8-1 NEWHL) rallied from an early deficit to defeat the SUNY Potsdam women's hockey team (12-11-2, 4-10-2) 4-2 on Saturday afternoon. Senior captain

Natalie Wasielewski (Carnegie, Pa./Pittsburgh Penguin Elite) each scored for the Bears.
Natalie Giglio opened the scoring at the 4:00 mark to give the Lakers a 1-0 lead. Just 25 seconds later Wilson tied the game with an unassisted marker. Potsdam jumped in front at 8:57 as sophomore forward
Lucy Condon (Kitchner, Ontario/Waterloo Ravens) connected with Wasielewski to make it 2-1. At 10:05, Victoria Rankin got Oswego even. The teams combined for just eight shots in the first period and headed into the first break knotted at 2-2.
The Lakers took advantage of their first power play of the contest after a checking call against the Bears at 6:50. Philomena Teggart scored the eventual game-winner 1:30 later. Oswego outshot Potsdam 12-7 in the middle stanza.
Sarah Grupp netted an insurance goal 2:56 into the third to close the scoring. The Bears dominated the rest of the way, thanks in part to three power plays, but couldn't close the gap. Potsdam outshot the Lakers 17-5 in the third, but Mariah Madrigal handled each attempt.

Samantha White (Oceanside, Calif./Anaheim Lady Ducks) made 18 saves and Madrigal finished with 25 for the win.
Potsdam finished with a 27-22 advantage in shots, but was 0-for-5 on the power play. The Lakers were 1-for-2.
The Bears now prepare for an NEWHL semifinal meeting at No. 1/2 Plattsburgh State next Saturday at 3 p.m.
