POTSDAM, N.Y.—Buffalo State (7-16, 1-8) defeated the SUNY Potsdam volleyball team (9-14, 3-6) 3-1 (25-18, 25-22, 23-25, 25-19) on Saturday afternoon. Freshman outside hitter Jessica Ader (Highland Mills, N.Y./Monroe Woodbury) had a career-high 17 kills along with 13 digs and a block to lead the Bears. Junior captain Nicole Hansen (Fulton, N.Y./G. Ray Bodley) contributed nine kills and freshman outside hitter Mikayla Myers (Gloversville, N.Y./Mayfield) had five kills and two blocks.
 
Freshman setter Kendall Jones (Parker, Colo./Elizabeth) posted 34 assists and two aces. Senior captain Natalie Magallon (Commerce, Calif./Bell Gardens) totaled 34 digs and three aces. Senior outside hitter Xanara Ruiz (Watertown, N.Y./Watertown) finished with 11 digs and three aces, while sophomore middle hitter Emme Price (Glendale Ariz./Deer Valley) added three blocks.
 
Senior outside hitter Eimile O'Brien (Marietta, N.Y./Marcellus) led the Bengals with a match-high 19 kills, while junior outside hitter Kayla Wolinski (Lancaster, N.Y./Lancaster) had 14. Junior setter Brooke Federko (Jamestown, N.Y./Jamestown) posted 35 assists, 20 digs and four aces. Freshman libero Darion Jonathan (Akron, N.Y./Akron) had 22 digs, six assists and two aces. Senior defensive specialist Kirstie Hall (Angola, N.Y./Frontier) rounded out the leaders with 13 digs and two aces.
 
The Bears honor seniors Dahlia Rafael-Tirado (Warwick, R.I./Classical), Magallon and Ruiz when they host SUNY Canton on Wednesday at 7 p.m. for Senior Night.
