CORTLAND, N.Y.—The 15th ranked SUNY Cortland Red Dragons (4-3, 2-0 SUNYAC) defeated the SUNY Potsdam women's lacrosse team (2-6, 0-2) 18-2 on Tuesday afternoon. Senior captain

Katie Longamore (Dexter, N.Y./General Brown) finished with 11 saves.
Cortland built a 12-2 halftime lead and then outscored the Bears 6-0 in the final 30 minutes. O'Connor made it 4-1 with her marker at 23:56 and then set up Ferrer's goal at 14:37 to make it 9-2.
Molly Newton had a game-high five points on three goals and two assists for the Red Dragons. Cecilia Procopio registered a goal and three assists and Lexi Meager scored three times.
In goal for Cortland, Annie Casey earned the win, allowing a goal and making a save. Paige Potter played the next 40:04 and gave up a goal, while stopping two shots. Shauna Meehan was unchallenged in the last 5:41.
The Bears are back in action on Saturday when they host the College at Brockport for a 3 p.m. contest.
