Cayla O'Connor (Dexter, N.Y./General Brown) led the Bears with six points on four goals and two assists and junior midfielder
Alexa Ferrer (Warwick, N.Y./Warwick Valley) scored a career-high five goals. Junior attack
Ashley Burrowes (Brentwood, N.Y./Brentwood) also set a personal-best with four points on three goals and an assist. Senior captain
Katie Longamore (Dexter, N.Y./General Brown) stopped 13 shots for her 12th career victory.
Potsdam opened the game on a 4-1 run through the first 12:18. O'Connor set up Burrowes at 22:38 and junior attack
Lane Perl (Fulton, N.Y./G. Ray Bodley) made it 2-0 at 21:11. Sophomore midfielder Emily Somes (Elbridge, N.Y./Jordan-Elbridge) got the Wildcats on the board at 19:14, but O'Connor and sophomore midfielder
Keira Thacker (Oakville, Ontario/T.A. Blakeville) answered and Potsdam led by three at 17:42. Junior midfielder Kayla Prosinski (Endwell, N.Y./Union-Endwell) and freshman midfielder Samantha Dayter (Cohoes, N.Y./Cohoes) got the Wildcats back within one less than two minutes later. Potsdam outscored SUNY Poly 6-3 over the remainder of the half. Junior attack

Kayla McCabe (Watertown, N.Y./General Brown) and Ferrer each scored man-up goals during the stretch and O'Connor, Burrowes and Ferrer accounted for the even-strength markers. Prosinski score twice and Somes had the other goal and Potsdam led 10-6 at the half.
Somes opened the scoring at 29:33 second half, but 10-7 was as close as the Wildcats could get as Potsdam went on a 5-1 run after the goal. O'Connor and Ferrer each scored twice and freshman attack
Macy Reid (Buffalo, N.Y./Orchard Park) added a goal. Prosinski scored the next two to get SUNY Poly back to within 15-10 with 8:31 on the clock. The Bears then put the game away with a 5-2 run. Junior attack
Miranda Kolb (Watertown, N.Y./Immaculate Heart) scored twice and Ferrer, sophomore midfielder
Zoe Morgenroth (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) and Burrowes tacked on three more. Prosinski and sophomore attack Kaley Pichura (Syracuse, N.Y./Henninger) netted the last two goals for the Wildcats.
Sophomore goalie Alycia Lugo (Wappinger Falls, N.Y./Roy C. Ketcham) made five saves for SUNY Poly. Prosinski finished with a game-high seven points on six goals and an assist and Somes totaled three goals and two helpers.
Kolb collected a career and game-high eight draw controls for the Bears and Longamore had five ground balls.
Potsdam is back in action on Saturday at 1 p.m. when the Bears head to Buffalo State.
