Zaire Rogers (Cheektowaga, N.Y./Cheektowaga) led the Bears with six kills, 10 digs, four assists and two blocks.
The Spartans won 25-15, 25-17 and 25-23 decisions to take the match in straight sets. Sophomore setter
Alec Roy (North Tonawanda, N.Y./North Tonawanda) recorded four kills, 15 assists, seven digs and one block. Junior middle hitter
Brendan Wall (Massapequa Park, N.Y./Massapequa) also had four kills, while senior outside hitter
Saluhu Malam (Bronx, N.Y./Harry S. Truman) posted four blocks and freshman libero
Kiernan Morgan (Valley Stream, N.Y./Valley Stream North) added six digs.
Anthony Dean led D'Youville with 11 kills. Dan Busha had 10 kills and William Anderson registered four aces. Karl Jauch had 28 assists and five digs. Danny Steck contributed 12 digs and three blocks. Mitch Mason rounded out the leaders with eight digs.
The Bears are back in action tomorrow in Rochester. They face host Nazareth College at noon and Medaille College at 2 p.m.
