POTSDAM, N.Y.—SUNY Fredonia (8-8, 4-1 SUNYAC) defeated the SUNY Potsdam women's volleyball team (5-7, 1-4) 3-1 on Saturday afternoon. Junior outside hitter
Jessica Ader (Highland Mills, N.Y./Monroe Woodbury) led the Bears with nine kills and 11 digs.
The Blue Devils took sets one and two by 25-16 and 25-13 scores before Potsdam rallied to win a marathon third set 31-29. Fredonia rallied late in set four for a 25-17 win to take the match.

Megan Henry (Candor, N.Y./Candor) had seven kills for the Bears and sophomore outside hitter
Mikayla Myers (Gloversville, N.Y./Mayfield) had five. Junior setter
Alyssa Rogers (Anchorage, Alaska/Grace Christian) registered 12 assists, 10 digs and two aces. Freshman setter
Colleen Murphy (Clifton Park, N.Y./Shenendehowa) contributed 16 assists and an ace. Senior captain
Nikki Ramirez (West Covina, Calif./Bishop Amat) finished with 12 digs and three assists.
Junior middle back Emily Jones led Fredonia with 17 kills and four aces. Senior outside hitter Christine Ackendorf (Amherst, N.Y./Sweet Home) posted 12 kills three blocks and two assists. Junior outside hitter Brinn Shaughnessy (Apalachin, N.Y./Oswego) had 10 kills, 11 digs and a block. Senior middle back Selena Brown recorded five blocks and two aces. Sophomore setter Kourtney Krchniak (Lockport, N.Y./Lockport) had a game-high 40 assists along with 12 digs. Sophomore libero Sierra Keim (Shinglehouse, Pa./Portville) posted a contest best 16 digs to go with three aces and five assists.
Potsdam returns to action on Friday at Brockport for a 6 p.m. contest.
