Oneonta holds off Bears in four sets

ONEONTA, N.Y.—The SUNY Potsdam women's volleyball team (4-5, 0-2 SUNYAC) fell to Oneonta State (2-9, 1-1 SUNYAC) 3-1 (10-25, 16-25, 25-17, 18-25) on Friday night.
 
Junior outside hitter Jessica Ader (Highland Mills, N.Y./Monroe-Woodbury) had nine kills and a block, while sophomore outside hitter Mikayla Myers (Gloversville, N.Y./Mayfield) had seven kills. Junior setter Alyssa Rogers (Anchorage, Alaska/Grace Christian) totaled 21 assists and freshman setter Colleen Murphy (Clifton Park, N.Y./Shenendehowa) was had eight assists against the Red Dragons. Senior captain Nikki Ramirez (West Covina, Calif./Bishop Amat) had a team-high 21 digs.
 
Isabella Fabrizio led Oneonta with 10 kills, 23 digs and three aces. Caitlin Christie recorded 10 kills and Casey Biggers had nine kills and a block. Carsyn Rachuta posted four aces and 15 digs.
 
Tomorrow, the Bears head to SUNY New Paltz for a 1 p.m. SUNYAC matchup.
