Joe Zimmerman (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport) led the Bears with 18 kills and six digs. Sophomore middle
Jason Hendler (East Meadow, N.Y./East Meadow) added 11 kills, four aces, four digs and two blocks.
The host Hawks took the opening set 25-22, but Potsdam rebounded to take the match in the next three sets 25-21, 25-17 and 25-16. Junior outside hitter
Zaire Rogers (Cheektowaga, N.Y./Cheektowaga) totaled six kills, 36 assists, two block assists and three digs. Sophomore middle
Sean Murray (Grand Island, N.Y./Grand Island) contributed eight kills and four aces. Sophomore outside hitter
Tom Shemik (Grand Island, N.Y./Grand Island) rounded out the leaders with six kills and two digs.
Brad Converse led the Hawks with 17 kills and five digs. Ryan Levcik had 10 kills and five digs. Austin Chandler chipped in 28 assists and seven digs.
The Bears are back in action at D'Youville College tomorrow at noon.
