CAZENOVIA, N.Y.—The SUNY Potsdam women's lacrosse team (2-2) opened up with a big first quarter lead and never looked back in a 24-10 win at Cazenovia College (1-4) on Tuesday afternoon. Junior attack
Anita Reitano (Averill Park, N.Y./Averill Park) recorded a career-high eight points on five goals and three assists to lead the Bears. Junior attack
Hannah Stevenson (Canton, N.Y./Hugh C. Williams) had another big day with four goals and three assists for seven points. Graduate student attack
Kyrsten Stone (Massena, N.Y./Massena) had her best day as a Bear with four goals and an assist.
Potsdam outscored the Wildcats 9-3 in the opening quarter. The outburst included two goals from Stone, Reitano and freshman attack
Mallory Marks (Brownville, N.Y./General Brown).
The Bears added six more in the second quarter, including two more from Stone and two from Stevenson. Potsdam led 15-6 at the half.
After senior
Macy Reid (Orchard Park, N.Y./Orchard Park) and Stone scored the first two goals of the third quarter, Cazenovia answered with three in a row. Sydney Allen scored two of the Wildcat goals. The Bears led 17-9 after 45 minutes.
Potsdam dashed Cazenovia's slim hopes with a 7-1 four quarter. Reitano and Stevenson accounted for four of the goals as the Bears closed out the 24-10 victory.

Netta Terrance (Akwesasne, N.Y./Salmon River) allowed six goals and made one save in the first half to pick up the win. Senior
Rachel Orzel (Ballston Spa, N.Y./Ballston Spa) made two saves and allowed three goals in the third quarter and senior
Kara Sue Mulvaney (Carthage, N.Y./Carthage) allowed a goal while playing the fourth quarter. Amanda Drazek made 13 saves while playing the entire game for Cazenovia.

Allan led Cazenovia with four goals and two assists. Callie Andolina scored three goals and Angela Nuzzo added two.
Potsdam hosts SUNY Poly in its home opener on Thursday at 5 p.m.
