Drew Rose (Brasher Falls, N.Y./Utica Jr. Comets) and freshman forward
Max Klanow (Holly, Mich./Hawkesbury Hawks) assisted on the goal. Potsdam generated good pressure for several minutes after the marker, but was unable to score. The Red Dragons edged the Bears in shots 15-14 and led 3-1 after 40 minutes.
Just 1:34 into the third period, Bloem scored an unassisted goal and the Potsdam was on the brink of getting even. Quesnel answered 21 seconds later to make it 6-3 with helpers from sophomore defenseman
Carter Lennon (Kitchener, Ontario/Georgetown Raiders) and freshman forward
Mathieu Parent (Kapuskasing, Ontario/Renfrew Wolves). Cortland junior defenseman Nate Berke (Buffalo, N.Y./Buffalo Jr. Sabres) closed the scoring with a power-play goal with 16 seconds on the clock.
