Anita Reitano (Averill Park, N.Y./Averill Park) had five points on two goals and three assists. Junior midfielder
Lindsey LaDue (Massena, N.Y./Massena) (2-1-3) and sophomore attack
Mallory Marks (Brownville, N.Y./General Brown) (3-0-3) also added three points each for Potsdam.
The Mustangs scored three of the contest's first four goals, including two from Potsdam native Alana McDonald (Potsdam, N.Y./Potsdam). LaDue set up sophomore midfielder
Tessa Pierce (Saratoga Springs, N.Y./Saratoga Springs) for the Bears' first goal at 7:13. Down 3-1, Potsdam evened the score at 2:51 with goals from Reitano and Marks. Martin assisted on each. McDonald netted her third with 32 seconds remaining and Morrisville led 4-3 after 15 minutes.
The Mustangs scored six of the second quarter's first eight goals to build a 10-5 advantage with 8:05 left in the half. McDonald and junior attack Maddie Baum (Fulton, N.Y./G. Ray Bodley) each scored twice in the stretch. Ladue struck for the Bears at 12:08 and freshman midfielder
Megan MacWilliams (Parishville, N.Y./Parishville-Hopkinton) got Potsdam within 6-5 at 10:45. The Bears were able to score the quarter's final three goals to claw back to 10-8 at the break. Senior defender
Marley Hawthorne (Saratoga Springs, N.Y./Saratoga Springs) scored a man-up goal with a helper from Martin at 5:21. Martin scored with 58 seconds left and then set up Hawthorne's second marker seconds later.
After a Mustang goal to open the third. Martin and freshman attack
Haley Stevenson (Canton, N.Y./Hugh C. Williams) scored in succession to close the gap to just 11-10 at 4:58. It was Stevenson's first collegiate goal and came off an assist from Reitano. However, Morrisville closed the third with two goals, including a man-up tally from senior attack Aria Treadway (Rome, N.Y./Rome Free Academy).
Morrisville started the fourth quarter on a 5-1 run to put the game out of reach. Sophomore midfielder Jillian Dodge (Jamesville, N.Y./Fabius Pompey) and freshman midfielder Cara Walker (Phelps, N.Y./Midlakes) each scored twice and McDonald netted her sixth and the Mustangs were up 18-11 with 6:53 remaining. The Bears answered with a 4-1 run, but ran out of time. Marks buried a man-up goal at 6:13. Reitano then assisted on back-to-back goals from junior attack
AnnaBelle Mitchell (Akwesasne, N.Y./Salmon River) and LaDue. Reitano closed the scoring on a free position with 23 seconds left.

Olivia Minarich (Albany, N.Y./Albany) made seven saves and allowed 10 goals for the Bears in the first half. Freshman
Jane Olszewski (Thornwood, N.Y./Westlake) made four saves and allowed nine goals in the final 30 minutes. Freshman Rebecca Thomas (Marcy, N.Y./Whitesboro) made eight saves to earn the win for the Mustangs.
Senior attack
Hannah Stevenson (Canton, N.Y./Hugh C. Williams) had three caused turnovers and six ground balls. Marks and Pierce each had seven draw controls.
McDonald finished with seven points on six goals and an assist for Morrisville. Walker also had seven points on four goals and three assists to go along with 14 draw controls and five ground balls. Baum added six points on four goals and two assists.
The Bears are back in action on Tuesday afternoon when they host Russell Sage College at 4 p.m.
