Cobie Cree (Akwesasne, N.Y./Salmon River) scored a career-high six goals and graduate student midfielder
Peyton Walsh (Ballston Spa, N.Y./Ballston Spa) added another six points on two goals and four assists. Walsh now ranks ninth in scoring in program history and sixth in goals (105g-39a-144pts). Junior midfielder
Ryan Hughes (Corning, N.Y./Corning-Painted Post) added five points on four goals and an assist. Junior attackman
Owen Walsh (Ballston Spa, N.Y./Ballston Spa) also recorded five points on a goal and four assists.
It was all Potsdam from the start as they scored 18 of the contest's first 20 goals. Hughes had the first two goals of the contest on a pair of helpers from
Owen Walsh. Cree struck for three goals in the first quarter, including man-up and man-down markers. Owen and
Peyton Walsh each assisted on Cree goals.

Drew Rose (Brasher Falls, N.Y./St. Lawrence Central) also had man-up goals, with
Owen Walsh assisting on Peyton's marker. The Bears led 7-1 after 15 minutes.
Potsdam scored the only four goals of the second quarter. Senior captain
Bryce Tyler (Camden, Maine/Camden Hills) netted the first goal.

The Bears outscored the Spartans 7-2 in the third quarter. Gould and sophomore faceoff specialist
Drew Costello (Ogdensburg, N.Y./Ogdensburg Free Academy) answered Castleton's first goal of the quarter with the next two. Hughes scored the next two goals, the second while a man-up, with assists from
Peyton Walsh. Cree continued the barrage with two more.

Aiden Tice (Schenectady, N.Y./Guilderland) scored Potsdam's last goal and only goal of the fourth quarter. It was the first of his career.

Saka Thompson (Akwesasne, N.Y./Salmon River) allowed one goal and stopped one shot to improve to 3-0 this season. Junior captain
Liam O'Neil (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) made three saves and allowed two goals in the third quarter. Senior goalie
Chris Wilk (Rutland, Vt./Rutland) made four saves and allowed three goals against his old team in the fourth quarter.
Costello dominated again in the faceoff circle, winning 18 of his 24 chances. He also had a game-high nine ground balls. Hughes and
Owen Walsh also had four ground balls.
Chase Strychaluk allowed six goals and made two saves in 13:09 and was tagged with the loss for the Spartans. Connor McWeeny gave up two goals and made three saves in 20:29. Zac Smith allowed 11 goals and made 12 saves in 26:22. Ethan Esposito scored two goals.
The Bears are back home against Morrisville State at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
