ALBANY, N.Y.—Russell Sage College (4-2) defeated the SUNY Potsdam women's lacrosse team (3-1) 18-12 on Tuesday afternoon. Graduate student attack Anita Reitano (Averill Park, N.Y./Averill Park) recorded a career-high 10 points on four goals and six assists. The performance gives her 203 points for her career and moves her past Bears Hall of Famer Bri McClusky '16 into second place on the program's scoring list. Junior attack Mallory Marks (Brownville, N.Y./General Brown) and junior defender Tessa Pierce (Saratoga Springs, N.Y./Saratoga Springs) each scored two goals.

Reitano set up the first two goals of the contest, the first by Marks at 11:30 and the second from senior captain Lindsey LaDue (Massena, N.Y./Massena) at 10:56. The Gators answered with two straight from Grace Hines and Marissa Key. Reitano put Potsdam back up at 6:03 and started a 3-0 run. Freshman attack Kawenokwiio Mitchell (Akwesasne, N.Y./Salmon River) and senior attack AnnaBelle Mitchell (Akwesasne, N.Y./Salmon River) each followed and the Bears led 5-2 at 3:11. At 7:33, Reitano set up freshman attack Abby Kraus (Buffalo, N.Y./Frontier) to tie the score. The assist gave Reitano 200 points for her career. She then set up Pierce at 5:40 to regain the lead, moving her into a tie for second place on the all-time scoring list. The hosts responded again, this time with a 3-0 stretch, to lead 12-10 at 1:44. Reitano netted her third goal with a second remaining and Potsdam trailed by one after 45 minutes.

The Gators pulled away at the start of the fourth quarter with four straight goals to make it 16-11 with 7:07 on the clock. Reitano registered her fourth goal and 10th point of the contest while a player down just over two minutes later.
