UTICA, N.Y.—The SUNY Potsdam cross country teams had strong performances at the SUNY Poly Wildcat Invitational on Saturday morning. The Bears men finished fourth, the women ran as individuals. Sophomore
Jocelyn Shatraw (Potsdam, N.Y./Potsdam) posted a fifth-place finish. Utica University won both races.

Shatraw matched a personal-best 6K time of 25:12.6 to finish fifth. Senior
Emily Yousey (Lacona, N.Y./Sandy Creek) was ninth in 26:42.1 to give the Bears their second top-10 placement. Freshman
Makayla Farmer (Massena, N.Y./Massena) ran a time of 27:26.1 for a 14th place finish and fellow freshman
Elaine Savaria (Cropseyville, N.Y./Berlin) was 30th in 30:09.2. The finishes for both Farmer and Shatraw were also each personal bests.

Senior
Eli Siracusa (Penfield, N.Y./Penfield) led the men with an 8K time of 30:55 to place 16th. Senior
Logan Ploss (East Greenbush, N.Y./Colombia) was 19th in 31:27. Sophomores
Samuel Barney (Plattsburgh, N.Y./Plattsburgh) (32:05) and
Connor Till (Castile, N.Y./Letchworth) (33:30) finished 23rd and 27th, respectively. Both times were personal bests. Senior
Kain Robinson (Alder Creek, N.Y./Adirondack) was 33rd in 34:59 and junior
Josef Kaufman (Marcellus, N.Y./Marcellus) was 41st in 37:10 to round out the group.

The Bears are now off until Saturday, October 19 when they run at the Word of Life Huskies Invitational.
