NEW PALTZ, N.Y.—SUNY New Paltz (11-9, 3-2 SUNYAC) defeated the SUNY Potsdam volleyball team (8-11, 1-3) 3-0 on Friday evening.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Hawks pulled away early in set one for a 25-13 win. Freshman outside hitter Ashlee Hagerman (Kirkwood, N.Y./Windsor) had two kills.
• New Paltz continued to roll in set two, taking a 25-11 victory. Hagerman added another two kills.
• The Hawks finished the match with a 25-15 win in set three. Freshman middle hitter Logan Georgia (Owego, N.Y./Owego) recorded two kills.

 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Hagerman finished with five kills, eight digs and an ace.
• Senior captain Sophia Layer (Potsdam, N.Y./Potsdam) had four assists, two kills and block.
• Junior middle hitter Noelle Redeye (Cattaraugus, N.Y./Silver Creek) posted two blocks and junior setter Rachel Madore (Peru, N.Y./Peru) chipped in eight digs.
• Junior outside hitter Emily Prest (Averill Park, N.Y./Averill Park) added six digs.
