POTSDAM, N.Y.—As SUNY Potsdam's ice hockey seasons get underway, Maxcy Hall renovations are continuing. Here are the items for fans attending hockey contests to keep in mind until further notice:
-There is no access to Maxcy Hall via the ramp at the front of the building.
-Fans should plan to enter using the doors closest to parking lot 29, which is land marked by fencing.
-Fans can access the rink and seating using the double doors across from the vending machines on the ground floor of the building. Only those with accessibility needs (and their accompanying party) can access the rink using the second floor. An elevator is available for use on the ground floor of Maxcy. Fans should stop on the second floor and cross through Jerry Welsh Gymnasium before entering the rink using the door closest to the snack bar.
-Concessions will be open and can be accessed from inside the arena.
-Restrooms are located on the ground floor of Maxcy. The restrooms on the first floor are currently unavailable.
Access to the hockey rink will be updated as the renovations continue.
The Bears men's hockey team hosts Vermont State-Castleton this Saturday night at 5 p.m. in an exhibition game. The Bears women open the regular season in Maxcy on Friday, October 31 against Alvernia University at 7 p.m.
