COBLESKILL, N.Y.—Junior forward
Thomas Wendel (Mechanicville, N.Y./Mechanicville) scored in the 60th minute to lead the SUNY Potsdam men's soccer team (6-4-1, 2-1 SUNYAC) past SUNY Cobleskill (0-6-3, 0-2-1) in a road conference contest on Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Bears kept the Fighting Tigers on their heels in the first half, but were unable to grab the lead.
- Potsdam had a 13-1 advantage in shots at the break.
- Wendel headed home a loose ball at 59:06 for the eventual game-winner.
- The Bears never let up in the second half, but didn't pad their lead.
