BUFFALO, N.Y.—Buffalo State (8-2, 3-0 SUNYAC) defeated the SUNY Potsdam women's lacrosse team (2-8, 0-4) 21-5 on Friday afternoon.

• The Bengals built a 7-2 advantage in the first quarter and never gave up control of the contest.
• Bears senior goalie Olivia Minarich (Albany, N.Y./Albany) made five saves in the game and Buffalo State goalie Moira Penot made seven saves for the win.
• Senior captain Auna Shadle (Massena, N.Y./Massena) led the Bears with a goal, two assists and two draw controls.
• Sophomore attack Jayla Thompson (Hogansburg, N.Y./Massena) scored twice and picked up two ground balls and two draw controls.
• Senior attack Tatiana Hillicke (Holtsville, N.Y./Sachem East) and sophomore attack Ava Murphy (Lisbon, N.Y./Lisbon) had the other two goals.
• Vanessa Willick had 10 points on eight goals and two assists to go with eight draw controls for the Bengals. Emily Josker scored five goals and assisted on four. Kira Grzechowiak also scored five times.
