POTSDAM, N.Y.—Sophomore forward Wyatt Mokey (Manhattan, N.Y./Humanities Preparatory Academy) scored two goals in four minutes to help the SUNY Potsdam men's soccer team (3-2-1) down Paul Smith's College (1-3-2) 5-0 on Tuesday night.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Bears pressured the Bobcats from the outset and broke through in the 16th minute.
• Junior midfielder Kyan Tiede (Leicester, N.Y./York) headed the ball ahead to Mokey. He stepped around Paul Smith's senior goalie Cazimir Couble (Spofford, N.H./Keene) and fired into the empty net.
• Mokey struck again at 20:15 off a cross from junior forward Logan Bush (Newcomb, N.Y./Newcomb).
• Tiede made it 3-0 just 1:28 later after picking up another pass from Bush at the top of the box.
• At 24:08, Mokey fed junior forward Thomas Wendel (Mechanicville, N.Y./Mechanicville). Wendel trapped the ball and spun completely around before burying it.
• The Bears outshot the Bobcats 20-0 in the first half.
• Freshman forward Tyler Lovely (Colton, N.Y./Colton-Pierrepont) tacked on a final goal at 88:46. It was the first of his collegiate career.

 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Potsdam finished with a 34-3 advantage in shots and a 12-1 edge in corner kicks.
• Senior goalie Sam Allen (Syracuse, N.Y./Jamesville-DeWitt) earned his second career win without a save in the first 61:47. Junior keeper James Kelm (Chester, N.Y./Chester Academy) stopped a shot in the next 9:19. Freshman Tom Wameling (New Hartford, N.Y./New Hartford) made a save in the final 18:54.
• Couble made 11 saves for the Bobcats.
• The Bears are now 9-0 in the all-time series.
