Intramural Co-ed Softball Rules
Basic Rules:
Games end 5 minutes before the hour or 7 innings whichever comes first. Should time expire, an inning that has started will be completed. During league play tie games will be recorded as a tie. During play-offs extra innings will be played. For the beginning of each extra inning, the last batter to make an out, will start off at second base as a base runner.
Additional Rules:
* Pitches must have an arc between 6ft-12ft
* Minimum of two women playing
* Softball bats only
* No metal cleats
* Batting order must remain the same for the whole game
* Late players go to the end of the batting order
* Teams consist of 10 players, can use substitutions, substitutions use same batting order.
* No stealing, No leading off the base, if a player leaves the base before the batter hits the ball he/she will be out.
* One base on an overthrow from the last base touched at the time of the overthrow.
* Base runners may tag-up after a fly ball is caught.
* No Bunting
