Deborah Healey has been a professional horse trainer, instructor and competitor for over 25 years. She is now in her 17th year as head of SUNY Potsdam's equestrian program.
In 2000, Healey earned the Syracuse Chapter PHA High Score Award. In 2001, she won the Jumper Championships at Syracuse, St. Clements in Saratoga Springs and Kerrymeade in Elmira, as well as the Erie County Fair,
Coach Healey has won many awards and championships in the Syracuse Chapter PHA. She competes throughout New York in jumper competitions in Syracuse, Saratoga Springs, Elmira, Rochester, and at the Erie County Fair. She has trained Children's Jumper Champions and Adult Amateur Jumper Champions at Elmira Charity, Erie County Fair and at the New York State Fair.
