Patrick Borer

Patrick Borer enters his first season as the Bears assistant men's hockey coach.

Borer graduated from the University of New England in May where he earned a bachelor's in sports and recreational management. During his time at New England Borer played in a total of 54 games as a defenseman over the course of two seasons for the Nor'easters. Borer also spent one year playing Division I hockey for Niagara University during the 2011-12 season.

Borer brings scouting experience with him as he spent the last year being a regional scout for the Minnesota Wilderness of the North American Hockey League (NAHL). He also brings coaching experience to the table after spending last winter as an assistant varsity coach for Armstrong/Cooper High School in New Hope, Minn. Borer also has worked for Competitive Edge Hockey and Charleston's Overspeed Hockey Training for the last several seasons. He has served as an on-ice and off-ice instructor with both forwards and defensemen in all systems.

Borer is a native of Golden Valley, Minn.
