Brandon Myron enters his third season as men's assistant lacrosse coach.
Myron, a Rensselaer, N.Y. native, manned the goal for Castleton University for the last four seasons. He was a three-year starter, two-year captain and holds the Spartans’ program record for saves with 478.
Â
In addition to his on field play, Myron was involved in numerous activities. He served as Castleton’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) President, goalie coach for the Nike Lacrosse Camp and intramural supervisor. Myron also assisted in event operations and risk management at Castleton’s Steven Wolf Arena. He helped record women’s soccer statistics and dressed as the Spartan mascot for football, wrestling, basketball and hockey contests as well.
Â
Myron spent last summer interning for Tri-City ValleyCats, the Houston Astros’ Class A Short Season affiliate. With the ValleyCats, he assisted with gameday set up, events and promotions and ran event registration and field preparations.
Â
Myron graduated with a bachelor’s degree in sports administration from Castleton in May.
