Caitlyn Dean

Caitlyn Dean returns for her third season with the Bears' softball coaching staff.

Dean started her collegiate softball career at William Patterson University before transferring to Centenary College for her final three seasons. She started in all 116 of the cyclones games during her career there and was named to the All-CSAC second team her sophomore and senior year. Dean lead the team in homeruns and tied for triples in all three seasons, while posting a .523 slugging percentage her senior year.

Not only was she successful on the field, but also in the classroom with three All-Academic team awards. Dean served as the SAAC President and the CSAC intern at Centenary from 2012-2014 and was a member of the National Association of Collegiate Women Athletics Administrators in 2013. After graduating, Dean traveled to Italy in the summer of 2014 to compete in the International Softball Tour, where the team went undefeated.

Dean, a Haskell, NJ native, earned her bachelor’s degree in social work from Centenary in May 2014 and intends to pursue a master’s in leadership and technology from Potsdam.
