Jessica Harvey is back for her second season as the Bears’ assistant coach.
Harvey brings high-level playing experience with her to Potsdam’s women’s hockey staff. The Norwood native was a three-sport athlete at Norwood-Norfolk Central, where she was the 2012 salutatorian. With the Flyers, she earned multiple first team All-NAC and Academic All-NAC accolades.
Harvey was a four-year member of the Harvard University Division I women’s hockey program. In 125 games for the Crimson, she recorded eight goals and 11 assists for 19 points. Harvard made two NCAA Tournament appearances during her time in Cambridge. In 2015, after capturing the Beanpot and Eastern College Athletic Conference titles, the forward and her teammates fell just short of a National Championship, bowing to Minnesota in the Frozen Four title game. She was a two-time member of the ECAC All-Academic Team in college.
Harvey graduated from Harvard in the Spring of 2016 with a bachelor’s in History and a minor in African-American Studies. She is currently working on a Master’s in Teaching at SUNY Potsdam, with a specialization in Childhood Education.
