Lindsey Pound enters his second season as head coach of the Bears women's lacrosse team.

"I'm thrilled to welcome Lindsey back to SUNY Potsdam," said Misiak. "His experiences coaching women's lacrosse at the Division I and II levels, coupled with his knowledge of our campus and the New York State recruiting landscape, make him the perfect person to lead our program forward."
 
Pound returns to Potsdam after spending last season as the assistant coach at Division I Butler University. With the Bulldogs he coordinated the offense and oversaw all individual skill development. Pound helped identify and recruit prospective student-athletes and was in charge of official visits to campus. He coached the program's first two All-Big East selections and helped win the Bulldogs' first two Big East Conference games ever. Pound also mentored Butler's single-season record holder for points and the career leader in points, goals, caused turnovers and draw controls. He also helped run the program's social media.
 
Prior to Butler, Pound was the head coach at Division II Upper Iowa University for a year and a half, leading them through the first full season in program history. With the Peacocks he expanded the women's team roster, coached the program's only first team all-conference player and helped improve the program's GPA.
 
Pound also served as a men's lacrosse assistant coach for five seasons. He spent the 2020-21 season coordinating the defense at Brevard College and serving as the recruiting coordinator. He planned and organized training sessions and assisted in recruiting for Guilford College the year before. Pound had similar duties for Potsdam as an assistant to head coach Rick Berkman for the 2017, 2018 and 2019 campaigns.
 
After transferring to Potsdam from Monroe Community College, Pound spent two years punishing opponents as a dominant long-stick midfielder and defender. He was second team All-SUNYAC in 2015 and in 2016 was a Face-Off Yearbook Preseason Honorable Mention All-American and first team all-conference. In those two seasons, Pound helped the Bears to two playoff appearances and a 17-14 record. He played 31 games for Potsdam, collecting 144 ground balls and causing 53 turnovers.
