Carrie Corriveau

Carrie Corriveau begins her 12th season of coaching at SUNY Potsdam. Originally from Muncie, Ind., Corriveau was a starter, co-captain and defensive specialist/outside hitter at Muncie Burris High School. While there, Muncie Burris won three consecutive state titles and one national title. She was named Indiana Outstanding Athlete of the Year in 1991.

Corriveau went on to play four years at Ohio University as a defensive specialist. She led her team in service aces and digs, and was in charge of serve receive patterns. She also led the Bobcats to their first conference championship appearance in school history. She graduated with a bachelor's in health and soon moved after graduation to Coral Springs, Fla., where she accepted a position with Coral Springs Charter School. Corriveau served as a high school health teacher and head varsity volleyball coach, and later became the school's assistant athletic director.

Since leaving Coral Springs, Corriveau received her master's in education with a specialization in curriculum and instruction from the University of Phoenix. She currently lives in Lisbon, N.Y., with her husband, Christopher, and their dog, Freckles.
