Doherty had an eight-point week in guiding the Bears to their school record eighth and ninth wins in a row. He had four goals in Potsdam's 18-7 drubbing of Canton on Tuesday. He then led the Bears with three goals and an assist as they downed Geneseo 9-7 on the road for the first time since 2000.
