CANTON, N.Y.—The SUNY Potsdam volleyball team (3-4) fell to St. Lawrence University (5-3) on Wednesday night. The Saints took a 3-1 decision.
St. Lawrence captured the first set 25-11. The Bears battled back to even the contest with a 25-22 win. As the match wore on the Bears became more competitive, but ultimately fell to the Saints 25-22 and 26-24.

Rachel Topf (Eagle River, Alaska/Chugiak) recorded 21 assists and six digs to lead the Bears. Senior outside hitter
Liza Fields (Duanesburg, N.Y./Duanesburg) totaled seven kills, five digs and two aces, while senior libero
Gabby Arana (Wlliston Park, N.Y./Herricks) chipped in 10 digs.
The Bears will travel to Oswego State to compete in the Oswego State Invitational on Friday and Saturday. They will open against Hamilton College at 4 p.m. on Friday afternoon.
