POTSDAM, N.Y.—SUNY Canton (24-7) downed the SUNY Potsdam volleyball team (6-22) 3-0 on the Bears' senior night. Potsdam honored seniors 
Casey Chase (Central Square, N.Y./Paul V. Moore) and 
Allie Romaniello (Selden, N.Y./Newfield) before the contest. 
The teams battled to the wire in set one before the Kangaroos captured the 25-23 decision. Canton then took sets two and three 25-16 and 25-17. Sophomore outside hitter 
Kelsey Tompkins (Vestal, N.Y./Vestal) led the Bears offense with nine kills, while sophomore utility player 
Rachel Topf (Eagle River, Alaska/Chugiak) and junior outside hitter 
Stephanie Maddox (Anaheim, Calif./Cornelia Connelly) had five apiece. Freshman setter 
Brianna Rodda (Holbrook, N.Y./Sachem East) had 21 assists, eight digs and two aces. Junior libero 
Maddie Paquin (Queensbury, N.Y./Queensbury) added 14 digs, while Romaniello had seven to go with two aces. 
Junior outside hitter Kelsy Cornish (Honeoye, N.Y./Honeoye) paced the Roos with nine kills and senior right side Morgan Bills (Walworth, N.Y./Wayne) had eight aces and seven kills. Freshman setter Peyton Robinson (Bloomfield, N.Y./Bloomfield) totaled 28 assists and senior libero Robyn Carroll (Bowmanville, Ontario/St. Stephens) finished with 17 digs. 
The Bears wrap up the season this weekend at the Skidmore Invitational. They play the host Thoroughbreds at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. On Saturday, Potsdam faces Hartwick at 11 a.m. and Union at 3 p.m.
