SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—The SUNY Potsdam volleyball team (11-17) fell to Skidmore college (19-10) 3-0 on day one of the Skidmore Invitational.
Against the Thoroughbreds, the Bears were downed 25-21, 27-25 and 25-23. Sophomore middle hitter
Monica Mack (Webster, N.Y./Webster Thomas) led Potsdam with 14 kills and also had an ace. Sophomore outside hitter
Nicole Hansen (Fulton, N.Y./G. Ray Bodley) tallied eight kills and had a block assist, while sophomore outside hitter
Gabby Scott (Webster, N.Y./Webster Thomas) had five kills and 10 digs. Junior libero
Natalie Magallon (Commerce, Calif./Bell Gardens) had 17 digs with two aces. Senior setter
Brianna Rodda (Holbrook, N.Y./Sachem East) led the Bears with 25 assists and added on eight digs.
Potsdam is back in action tomorrow for the final day of the Skidmore Invitational. The Bears face Lasell College at 10 a.m. before they go up against Union at 2 p.m.
