BUFFALO, N.Y.-- The SUNY Potsdam women's soccer team (2-0) scored three first half goals within a seven minute span as they defeated D'Youville College (0-2), 5-0, on day two of the Spartan Classic. Senior midfielder Brooke Falsion (Brockport, N.Y./Brockport) had a pair of goals, while senior midfielder Rylie Murray (Berkley, Mich./Berkley) had a goal and an assist.

Through the first 15 minutes was Falsion was the only player to get a shot on goal, however Megan Dulniak was able to make the save. At 18:54, Murray passed through the middle into the box to Falsion for her to turn and score. The Bears tacked on another goal a few minutes later when freshman forward Mackenzie Bowie (Mechanicville, N.Y./Mechanicville) got it to Falsion for her second goal of the game. Freshman midfielder Kristina Sanchez (Averill Park, N.Y./Averill Park) extended the lead to three after getting control of the ball in the box at 26:00. Potsdam kept control for remainder of the half as they did not give up a shot on goal. The Bears had a couple opportunities to add onto the lead, but ended up hitting the crossbar, going into halftime up 3-0.

Just before the end of the 70th minute, sophomore forward Lexi Dean (Schenectady, N.Y./Mohonasen) tacked on another goal for Potsdam.
